LABORATORIES
Bioscience Institute is a CELL FACTORY dedicated to biological cryopreservation, cellular culture and scientific research.
The stored cells are extremely valuable, this is why – in compliance with European Directives implemented in Italy - Bioscience Institute has been granted the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certification as evidence of the highest quality standard adopted. This level of excellence is visible for anyone to see through the Bioscience Institute website, which makes it possible to get a view from the video-cameras inside the laboratories in order to appreciate the quality of the operational procedures followed by its staff.
Moreover, the laboratories, include 220 m2 of sterile space (Clean Rooms), fitted with laser particle counters which constantly check the biological safety level. Apart from the operational procedures, the web site www.bioinst.com also makes it possible to monitor the sterility level of the rooms; this proves the high level of reliability and safety of the laboratories.
Bioscience Institute has facilities covering about 1,000 m2 in total, including:
|
220 m2 Class B laboratories with Class A certified extracting fans 150 m2 N/C laboratories 180 m2 technical rooms 150 m2 administration/training offices 120 m2 cryopreservation room 100 m2 logistics |
|
Clean Room The CLEAN ROOM is a sterile environment where operations are conducted which call for the highest level of product safety and microbiological quality. In order to maintain and guarantee the highest safety standard throughout operation it is necessary to constantly monitor the airborne particles and check the temperature, humidity, ventilation and pressure parameters. |

Laser particle counter The LASER PARTICLE COUNTERS are certified devices which analyse the air in the laboratory, measuring the concentration of particles contained. An acoustic and visual alarm system warns about an excessive number of particles. To guarantee the maximum sterility in operation, every classified laboratory is equipped with such devices. |
